Effect of career development techniques on employee performance in deposit money banks in Nigeria

Despite the efforts of stakeholders to improve employee performance in banking sector through educational programs and trainings, quality service delivery commercial banks is still suboptimal Nigeria. The study therefore examined effect career development techniques on deposit money research design employed this was descriptive survey design. sample size 231 respondents drawn from population which consists 548 employees Wema Bank Plc, Sterling First Nigeria Plc Access Enugu State. Research questions were answered using mean standard deviation. hypotheses stated tested single regression analysis. empirical result shows that there a positive significant induction training (t-statistics (58.161) > critical value (0.000). Again, revealed job rotation punctuality (59.146) also formal education transparency (53.984) recommended Management should invest more trainings as it provides opportunity both old new hires learn ropes their jobs roles thereby enhancing delivery.
